This workshop will explore the interface of verbal and non-verbal communication, alternate levels of consciousness, and the transference/counter-transference dialogue, as well as the forces of energy that enter into a creative psychodynamic process. A variety of art experiences will be used to explore these issues.
Arthur Robbins is schooled in classical psychoanalysis and mainly works with object related theory. He is a certified psychoanalyst since 1965. In 1973 he became Chief Psychologist of the Psychoanalytic Training Program at the Metropolitan Mental Health Centre in New York. Since 1971 he is Professor at the Pratt Institute, one of America’s best-known art schools, where he is the founding leader of their Art Therapy education. With great clarity and pedagogical skill he conveys links between theory and practice. Based on participants’ images, he shows different therapeutic approaches to them. He teaches with his wife Sandra Robbins, who is body therapist and runs a children’s theater www.shadowboxtheatre.org .

Registration is binding. In case of illness please present a medical certificate. Without very special reasons to be indisposed the course fee will not be reimbursed.
The registration fee is an administrative fee and is non-refundable.
