Konferencja w Londynie – kwiecień 2013

What are the commonalities and differences in the diverse practices around the world that are called art therapy? Can art therapy be a radical intervention in which people can re-imagine art and critically exploreinterpersonal relationships, finding their voice and making their mark on the world? Would considering art therapy as a plurality of diverse treatment options applied to peoples’ diagnosed conditions, better ensure survival in the global financial crisis – survival at what price? How does art therapy differ from community arts, arts in health and art education?

This is a conference with a difference. It will involve delegates thinking about these questions through art-making as well as through discussion. Each day will start with a panel presentation of speakers followed by conference discussion. In the afternoons there will be paper presentations and each day will end with an experiential art therapy large group for all delegates. There will be exhibitions around the College of art therapists’ and/or clients’ work. (For the full conference document please click here).
