Zapraszamy na międzynarodową konferencję “Breath, Music and Music Therapy“,
The Music Therapy Department of The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, invites you to the International Conference where we will explore the theme of “Breath, Music and Music Therapy” with international guest speakers, such as: Joanne Loewy (USA), Evangelia Papanikolaou (Greece), Guy Fincham (UK), Barbara Wheeler (USA), Simon Procter (UK).
The perspectives to be discussed include breathing understood on different levels especially in the context of: medical areas, stress and relaxation, meditation and breathwork, and musical aspects.
The call for proposals is open until March 1st, and registration will be open till March 20th, 2024. We invite proposals in the form of papers (20 mins.) and posters.
The event will be live streamed (on academic YouTube channel) so online participation in main sessions is also possible (only for passive participants).
As Katowice is European City of Science 2024, the conference will be a part of Week of Breath, the thematic cycle of events held in different locations of the city.
Registration fee:
Professional (non-student) 80EURO / 350PLN
Student 50EURO / 200PLN
Online access 40EURO / 180PLN
For on site participants payment includes participation in the event, coffee breaks, 2 x lunch and one evening snack.
Online access is only for main sessions (no workshops and concerts).
The conference language is English.
All participants will receive electronic certificates of attendance after the Conference.
